What is ABA?

Behavior Analysis is a scientific approach to understanding behavior, encompassing a set of principles that focus on how behavior changes. The primary goal of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is to decrease harmful behaviors while simultaneously increasing beneficial behaviors. ABA is recognized as a valid and effective treatment for individuals with Autism.

At Honey Behavior Analysis, we utilize natural environment teaching whenever possible. We capture opportunities to impart meaningful learning and teach concepts as they naturally arise in the environment.

Reinforcement: A Key Component of ABA

In essence, reinforcement refers to what occurs immediately after a behavior that increases the likelihood of the behavior being repeated in the future. Reinforcement can be provided in various forms, including social praise, access to preferred items, or the removal of an aversive situation or item.
